General:

Backtagging: Of course.
Threadhopping: As long as it's not a private communication, I'm all for it.
Fourthwalling: Potentially. But I'd like to talk about it first.
Romance/Relationship: Personally Athos is not here to be romantic. He has a spectacular cache of issues that result in him being very closed off when it comes to love and affection. He'd definitely resist. On an ooc level if the chemistry is right and it works, we should totally discuss it.
Physical Violence: Athos is a reasonable man but if your character has wronged him in some way and cannot be spoken with, it's likely he will react with physical violence. He would also be the first to step bodily in front of someone else if your character was acting in a threatening manner. Also sword fighting is how men like him deal with their issues, so there's that.
Mental/Magic: Athos has no mental protection against magic or things like telepathy so he'll be easy to control. Hit me up if you want to plot something.

MUSKETEERS INCORPORATED

Well sign up to Musketeers Inc, and all your dreams will come true!

Ever since they got here, the Musketeers have missed soldiering. The problem is, they’re used to fighting crime and protecting people, and for a long time here they haven’t been able to do that.

All of that is about to change. Thanks to a good deal of planning, saving, acquiring of appropriate licenses, and the timely intervention of a startup loan from the local bank, they have finally set up MUSKETEERS INCORPORATED, where they will be learning the ways of capitalism and turning honourable soldiering into a business. This mostly involves renting a small office building in De Chima where they can hold files, store good brandy and meet clients, and a yard at the back where they can train idiots in holding swords.

What manner of clients, you ask? Their company will be a private detective agency with an element of ‘heroes for hire’, where they will offer private investigation and protection to people who need it. Their services will be available to both PCs and NPCs, and they will operate the agency with the values of honour and chivalry at the forefront.

What we want to know is if your character(s) would like to be involved? They’re basically a detective agency but with cavaliers instead of fedoras. They will solve your crimes! They will find your missing jewels! They will stop that rogue stalker! They’ll also provide personal protection services for a small fee - because come on the wine is free but they have to eat eventually. Except there are only three of them.

Which is where you, our fellow imPorts, get involved. Your resident honourable heroes will be doing an IC recruitment drive before the grand opening, looking for anyone who might actually want to join their ranks. It doesn’t matter if they’ve never used a rapier in their lives, they can be taught. All they really need is commitment to duty and honour. So, if your character has ever had the dubious ambition of being a seventeenth century swordsman (or woman), now is their chance. The training being offered will include hand to hand fighting, swordsmanship, and marksmanship. Prepare to be worked very hard, we don’t take any slackers.

There will obviously be an old-fashioned nature about it mostly considering they refuse to use anything modern (they’re getting better about guns - or at least d’Artagnan is, we can’t speak for Athos) but you do get cool uniforms and a chance to prove that the strength of human character didn’t die off in the 1600s.
